Events
- On 9/11, LRC will be having a campfire! Exact location TBD. We will meet at 7pm! This will be weather dependent as there is a chance of rain. Communication will be sent out promptly, but there will be an event this Friday!
- Any questions about events please DM Sullivan Morris via GroupMe!
Races
- NIRCA meets begin 9/12! There is a link in the announcements tab on the GroupMe to join the NIRCA GroupMe. Registration closes on 9/10, so fill out the form by then!
- This week's meet will be up at UVA!
- Any questions? Direct them to George Crowder or Jessica Dryer via GroupMe
- As a reminder, if you register to race, you are expected to pay your race fee unless some extenuating circumstance, such as illness, prevents you from racing. This must be communicated to leadership ASAP, so you will still need to pay.
Leadership
- Want to improve LRC? Provide feedback through the form on this website
- Meeting information: no leadership meeting this week due to NIRCA interest meeting.
Spotlight Announcements
- Our awesome directors of training have put together a fall training plan! Find the link in GroupMe
- Here is the explanation from George:
Conditioned athletes = runners who averaged at least 20mpw over the summer and ran at least 5 days per week.
Developing athletes = runners who did not run over the summer, ran less than 20mpw or didn’t run at least 5 days per week.
This is an average. Talk to George, Jill or Evan to find out specifics.
I suggest talking to a training director to find out exactly what volume you should be doing for easy runs throughout the week and long runs.
If you filled out the form for individualized training someone will reach out to you and help your interpret the training sheet.
The sheet will be linked on the website (at some point) and pinned in the groupme for ease of access.
All workouts are subject to change at any time. What is written down may be modified by the time tuesday night comes around.
