This policy describes how Liberty Running Club (“we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information when you use our website and related services, including when you sign in with your Liberty University email address.

Information we collect

  • Email address — When you request a login link or verification code, we collect the email you provide (we expect a @liberty.edu address for sign-in).
  • Session and security data — We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to protect the site (for example, session identifiers managed by our authentication layer).
  • Content you submit — If you contact us or use features that accept input, we process that information as needed to respond or operate the feature.

Newsletter and email delivery

We use your email address to send transactional messages (such as login verification codes) and, where you are part of our community outreach, club updates and newsletters. Transactional and newsletter email is delivered using Resend, a third-party email service provider.

How we use your information

  • To verify your identity and maintain your account session.
  • To send club communications and newsletters you would reasonably expect as a member or subscriber.

We retain information only as long as needed for these purposes or as required by law. Login verification codes are short-lived and are not intended for long-term storage.
